Quality seals such as the EHPA quality label or the Heat Pump KEYMARK represent energy efficiency, quality and product reliability. Comprehensive tests are required so that the heat pumps’ quality standard is achieved. The VDE Institute is a German organization recognized by the European Heat Pump Association (EHPA), which, as a neutral and independent organization, issues quality certificates for issuing the international EHPA quality label. Due to our years’ experience and expertise in the field of heat pumps, we furthermore preside over the German Seal of Quality Commission (Deutschen Gütesiegelkommission).
The VDE Testing and Certification Institute offers complete technical tests of heat pumps with electrically driven compressors. The EHPA’s heat pump test regulations are used as a basis. In addition to the aforementioned test spectrum and testing and certification for the Heat Pump Keypark, incl. the required FPCs (factory product control), the VDE Institute offers additional services for heat pumps:
- Testing according to DIN EN 14511 “Heat pumps with electrically driven compressors for space heating and cooling” as a basis for issuing the EHPA quality label
Testing according to EN 14825 “Air conditioners, liquid chilling packages and heat pumps, with electrically driven compressors, for space heating and cooling. Testing and rating at part load conditions and calculation of seasonal performance.” - Testing according to EN 16147 “Heat pumps with electrically driven compressors – Testing, performance rating and requirements for marking domestic hot water units.”
- Calculating the sound power level according to DIN ISO 3744 and DIN EN ISO 3745, respectively, in a low-reflective half space that is at accuracy level 1, and according to DIN EN ISO 9614 “Determination of sound power levels of noise sources using sound pressure”
