TSM has been developed by network operators to keep the supply quality of public electricity networks at a consistently high level. Network operators can have their organizational and operational organization checked for compliance with laws, regulations, generally accepted rules of technology and professional association regulations.
Independent experts will examine interested network operators and receive a TSM confirmation after a positive evaluation. The TSM confirmation confirms the high qualification and organizational level of the power suppliers and can be used for advertising purposes.
The TSM confirmation is based on the VDE application rule VDE-AR-N 4001. The application rule is continuously developed in order to always be up-to-date. This is done through the work of the VDE|FNN in close consultation with the interested parties.
TSM is also available in cooperation with DVGW for the divisions of gas and water supply. Transnational TSM projects are optionally coordinated by the TSM office at the VDE Institute or at DVGW Service & Consult at the customer's request.
