Your VDE login

Important notice
As of June 2022, a changed registration procedure is in effect on our websites. Please read the following notes regarding the new login procedure in case of problems.

The VDE Group maintains various web applications that can be accessed via different domains such as vde.com or dke.de.
Here you will find some tips on how to use your VDE login and what to do, for example, if you have forgotten your password.

An overview with the most important organizations and their links can be found in the VDE o rganigram.

Except for VDE VERLAG GMBH and VDI/VDE Innovation und Technik GmbH, you can use many web applications with one VDE account.

Procedure of logging in to the web pages

If you want to log in to the web pages you will get the login screen visible on the left.

The instructions for your user name and the corresponding password can be found in the list below.

The user name to be entered here results from the user name known to you and the addition @vde.com.

Entering the user name looks exemplary as shown in the picture.

After clicking Next, you will see the screen for entering your password. This corresponds to the password you know and therefore does not need to be reassigned.

If you have forgotten your password and would like to have it sent to you again, you can use the "Forgotten password" link or contact our support (see Contact on this page). Please note that a newly set password is valid for all VDE websites, even if they use a different login procedure.

After successful registration, you will usually receive the following screen.

This gives you the option to reduce the number of logins if you confirm the selection with Yes.

If you check the box "Do not show this message again", you may not be shown this page in the future. However, this depends on your browser settings as well as company settings, if applicable.

Username

What is my username?

Your username was sent to you by letter or by email. With this you have access to your VDE web applications.

Typical formats of usernames look like this

surname.firstname
de-ab-cd (For DKE committee members)
p-123456 (For self-registered persons)

The user name to be used results from the user name known to you and the addition @vde.com.

For the above mentioned formats of the user names the following possible combinations result.

Nachname.Vorname@vde.com
de-ab-cd@vde.com
p-123456@vde.com
Notes
These are not email addresses, but user names related to the VDE.

In our old registration procedure, it was possible to use the external e-mail address as a username as well. This option is no longer available and can no longer be used on the web pages.

If you no longer know your username, please contact the IT Service (see Contact), who will be happy to provide you with your username. Alternatively, you can fill out the form below.

Password

Forgot your password? That is how you set up a new password.

If you have forgotten your password, you can set a new password at www.vde.com/kennwortvergessen.
Change your password
At www.vde.com/kennwortaendern you can change your password.
New password
New passwords must be at least eight characters long and contain an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a special character, and a number.

Login data

How do I get my login data?

As a rule, you will receive your login data by e-mail.

Company accounts will be delivered by post.

Once you have received your login data, it can be changed at any time in the VDE user profile.

Single sign-on

Every VDE account (username and password) must have a unique personal e-mail address.

Your advantage: You can log in to all VDE web applications with just one login. If you have several VDE accounts, you can consolidate them in the VDE user profile or - if you wish - have them consolidated by the IT service.
