Arrival by public transportation

From Frankfurt Airport FRA regional station / Frankfurt main station (approx. 1 hour journey time):

• Option A: train RB51/RE50 direction “Fulda” to “Hanau”, change to regional trains, RB56 direction “Schöllkrippen” to “Alzenau Nord”
• Option B: train RE54 direction “Bamberg”to “Kahl Kopp/Heide”, change to regional trains, RB56 direction “Schöllkrippen” to “Alzenau Nord”

Arrival by car

VDE Renewables is located in the industrial area of the town of Alzenau (North). From Frankfurt main station, take the B44 to the A3. From Frankfurt Airport, take the A3 (Würzburg) directly and then the B43a (A45/A66/Dortmund) and the A45 (Munich). Then take exit 44 (Alzenau-Nord) onto the St2305, which leads directly to Industriestraße. Siemensstraße 30 is on the right-hand side. The office is located 50 km from Frankfurt city center and can be reached in about 40 to 50 minutes.

Arrival by public transport 

From BER Airport (approx. 50 - 60 minutes driving time): 

• Option A: trains RE7, RB14 direction “Nauen” to “Zoologischer Garten”, change to U2 (direction “Ruhleben”) to “Deutsche Oper”  
• Option B: S-Bahn S 9 direction “Berlin-Spandau” to “Berlin Zoologischer Garten”, change to U2 (direction “Ruhleben”) to “Deutsche Oper”  
• Option C: FEX train to “Berlin Hauptbahnhof” (main station), take S-Bahn S7 to “Zoologischer Garten”, change to U2 (direction “Ruhleben”) to “Deutsche Oper”  

From Berlin main station (approx. 20 minutes driving time):  

• All S-Bahns heading west (S3/S5/S7/S9) to “Zoologischer Garten”, change to U2 (direction “Ruhleben”) to “Deutsche Oper”  

Berlin subway network  

• Line 2 Pankow-Ruhleben, station “Deutsche Oper” 
• Line 7 Rudow-Rathaus Spandau, station “Bismarckstraße” 

Bus: 

• Line 101: Stop “Bismarckstraße/Leibnizstraße”.

Arrival by car

The Brandenburg Gate is approx. 5.5 km to Bismarckstraße. Berlin Airport is approx. 30 km from the VDE. For parking, you can use the public car park Deutsche Oper or the parking facilities around Bismarckstraße and adjacent streets in the direction of Kantstraße. We would recommend that you travel by public transport due to the parking management.

Arrival via public transport from the airport 

Bus

The bus station is located on the airport’s level 0, just below the arrival hall. Take the bus No. 12 (direction Brussels City; weekdays only) or Bus No. 21 (direction Luxembourg; weekdays after 8pm and weekends and holidays) to the terminus „Luxembourg/Luxemburg” (journey time approx. 45 minutes).

When you arrive at the terminus „Luxembourg/Luxemburg“, turn right around the corner and continue on the right side of Place du Luxembourg/Luxemburgplein. Turn into the third street on the right, Square de Meeûs. Turn left to continue Square de Meeûs. VDE Brussels representation is located on the right side, house number 35. 

Train

The train station is located on the airport’s level -1. Every hour there are up to 6 trains going from the airport to the city centre.

Depending on your connection you have to change at one of the following train stations: 

Arrival from one of Brussels‘ train stations 

Gare du Nord / Noordstation 

• Take tram 3 (Churchill), 4 (Stalle), 25 (Rogier) or 55 (Rogier) to station „Rogier“ 
• Change to Metro line 2 (Simonis) or 6 (Roi Baudouin) and stop at station „Trône“ 
• Take exit 2 - Rue Montoyer and follow the street, then turn right and enter the second street Rue de l'Industrie/Nijverheidsstraat, then turn left onto De Meeûssquare/Square de Meeûs 
• It takes approx. 5 minutes to walk from metro station „Trône“ to VDE representation number 35 which is on the left side. 

Gare du Midi / Zuidstation 

• Take metro line 2 or 6 (Elisabeth) to station „Trône“ 
• Take exit 2 - Rue Montoyer and follow the street, then turn right and enter the second street Rue de l'Industrie/Nijverheidsstraat, then turn left onto De Meeûssquare/ Square de Meeûs 
• It takes approx. 5 minutes to walk from metro station „Trône“ to VDE representation which is located on the left side, house number 35 

Gare Centrale / Centraal Station 

• Take bus 38 Heros to bus stop "Science", cross the street and walk through the park to De Meeûssquare/Square de Meeûs, then turn left onto De Meeûssquare/Square de Meeûs. 
• It takes approx. one minute to walk to VDE representation which is located on the right side, house number 35.

Arrival by car 

• Coming from the highway E40, direction from Liège (dutch: Luik) and Leuven (french: Louvain). 
• At the end of the highway take the direction „Centre/European Institutions “. 
• The tunnel leads to Avenue de Cortenbergh/Kortenberglaan, continue straight ahead. 
• At the roundabout Rond-Point Robert Schuman/Robert Schumanplein take the second exit into Rue de la Loi/Wetstraat and immediately get in the left lane. 

1. parking: Interparking (Loi), Rue de la Loi 85, 1040 Brussels; entry to the underground carpark on the left side, 
2. parking: Vinci (Parking Thon), Rue de Trêves 120, 1040 Brussels; comingbfrom Rue de la Loi/Wetstraat, enter the first street to the left Rue de Trèves/Trierstraat, find the entry to the underground carpark immediately on the right side, 

or 

• Coming from Rue de la Loi/Wetstraat, enter the first street to the left Rue de Trèves/Trierstraat and continue straight ahead to Place du Luxembourg/Luxemburgplein, turn right there and take the third to the right which is Rue de la Science, then turn left to De Meeûssquare/Square. de Meeûs 
• VDE Brussels representation is located approx. after 50 meters on the right side in house number 35. Unfortunately, possibilities to park in the street are very limited.

Arrival by car 

The Offenbacher Kreuz junction is approx. 1.5 km from Merianstraße. Frankfurt Airport is about 15 km from the VDE. You also have the option of parking in our visitor parking spaces, which are located directly in front of the VDE building.
