Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Christoph Kutter
Christoph Kutter has been Director of Fraunhofer EMFT, an institute of the Research Fab Microelectronics Germany (FMD). Additionally, he holds the professorship with focus on solid state technologies at the Universität der Bundeswehr München. His focus areas at the Fraunhofer EMFT are silicon technologies, MEMS, flexible electronics, biosystem integration and heterogeneous integration of various solid state technologies.
Christoph Kutter is member of the supervisory board of VDE (Verband der Elektrotechnik, Elektronik und Informationstechnik), member of acatech (National Academy of Science and Engineering) and BBAW (Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities BBAW).
From 1995 to 2012 Christoph Kutter held various executive positions at Infineon Technologies AG and Siemens AG, for example heading the development of communications products, the chip card and central research. Christoph Kutter was responsible for several central improvement projects aiming at increasing the efficiency in research and development, as well as leading the company-wide innovation initiative.
From 1990 to 1995 Christoph Kutter worked as a research scientist in the High Magnetic Field Laboratory (Max-Planck Institute for Solid State Physics) in Grenoble France.
Christoph Kutter received his Dipl. Phys. degree at the Technical University Munich and his Dr. rer. nat. degree in 1995 at the University of Constance.
