Innovation cycles are becoming shorter and shorter, the pace of development is increasing rapidly. And standardization is tipping the scales. With our norms and standards, we are strengthening Germany as a business location and the European Single Market.

Only those who are familiar with international standards and their significance can design new products and systems to be technologically compatible - and thus fit for the future. With the DKE German Commission for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies in DIN and VDE, the national standardization organization for electrical engineering and information technology is firmly anchored in VDE.

The Forum Netztechnik/Netzbetrieb im VDE (VDE FNN) is playing a key role in shaping the fundamental transformation of power grids as a result of the energy transition.
