Basics of Lithium-Ion Battery Technology (07.11.2023, 09 – 11am)

Are you facing the challenge of dealing with lithium-ion batteries (LIBs)?
How do LIBs work?
What future trends can be expected?
What are the dangers of LIBs and how can you minimise the risk of damage?
I explain these and other questions in my talk on the basics of lithium-ion battery technology.

Ready for EU Battery Regulation (07.11.2023, 15 – 17 pm)

The new European Battery Regulation (BattVO) will soon come into force and poses major challenges for many companies. Along the product categories EV, LMT and stationary batteries we will discuss hot topics like “What is my role as a player in the battery value chain, or do I perhaps have multiple roles?” and “What applies when? And for whom exactly?” Additionally, we will take a look at the digital product passport requirements for batteries.

Second Life – quo vadis? (09.11.2023, 16.15 – 16.45 pm)

The battery of an electric car has a high energy and power density and is by far the most expensive component in the vehicle. For this reason, it has great potential to find an application in the so-called Second Life and thus to optimize costs and use resources sparingly. In this session, different perspectives on the challenges of Second Life battery storage will be presented along with a discussion of possible opportunities and the future of this market.
