Hydrogen systems are maturing into an increasingly interesting option, both in the stationary and mobile sectors. The dynamics in development and commercialisation are great and are currently flanked by funding and market incentive programmes. For several products and systems, the technology readiness level for market entry has been reached or is about to be reached. It is now crucial how economically promising business models can be developed in combination with renewable energies. Only in this way can the expected contributions of the hydrogen economy to independence, energy security and the achievement of the goals for the energy transition be achieved.
